According to Edmund Tie and Company, the sales volume of the new condo will go up by 33% year-on-year to hit 2,300 in the 2nd quarter of 2019. This is in comparison to 1,739 units recorded in the previous quarter.
Singapore Business Review expects that the new projects in the Rest Central Region (RCR), where new sales are envisaged to go up to 1,100 units by 80% will cause the hike.
The speculations were raised following the launch of new site plans which entail five recent projects within the market segment, which caused about 60% of the total launches of units in the 2nd quarter.
There was a 2.3% hike in new condo sales volume during the first quarter of 2019. Core Central Region’s sales made up 82% of the volume increase while that of Outside Central Region was 52.4%. Sales volume in the RCR dropped by 37.3% compared to the previous quarter.
